Stretch hood film is a strong option when brick pallets need full coverage and automatic packaging. A machine stretches a tubular hood over the load. When released, the film recovers and creates horizontal and vertical holding force.
This process does not require heat. The sealed top covers the upper surface, while the sides extend toward the pallet base. Clear film allows workers to inspect the bricks and read labels without removing the cover.

Clear film supports product inspection, label reading and barcode scanning. Tinted film can separate batches or reduce load visibility. Printed film may carry a company logo, product mark or handling instruction.
If the film is printed, approve the artwork after the sample has been stretched over a brick pallet.
Packaging works best when the load is stable before the film is applied.
Use an undamaged pallet that can support the full brick weight.
Center the load over the pallet deck.
Keep the heaviest brick layers low.
Follow a repeatable interlocking pattern when the brick design allows it.
Remove loose brick fragments and dust from sharp contact areas.
Avoid overhang where possible.
Add corner boards, top sheets or anti-slip sheets when needed.
Use straps when the load needs more support before covering.
A hood should help maintain the load, not repair a pallet that is already leaning.
Outdoor yards expose brick pallets to more than rain. Wind pushes against the covered surface, and sunlight can age untreated film. Water may collect on a flat or uneven top.
For better outdoor pallet protection:
Use a sealed-top hood with enough length to reach the lower load area.
Select UV-stabilized film for the planned exposure time.
Keep the top profile as even as possible so water can drain.
Check for holes after forklift movement.
Avoid placing pallets where standing water can reach the load from below.
Inspect long-stored pallets before loading them onto a truck.
Brick itself may tolerate moisture differently depending on its type and packaging requirements. The buyer should define whether the main goal is keeping surface dust away, limiting direct rain or maintaining a dry packaged unit.
A production trial should use the heaviest and most difficult brick pallet, not only a neat sample load.

Loose film near narrow sections
Hood coverage at the top and base
Movement between brick layers
Damage caused by straps or excessive tension
Label visibility
Move the pallet through the real plant route. Include forklift turns, ramps, yard surfaces and stacking if these occur in normal work. For shipped loads, inspect the pallet again after a transport trial.
Record the film specification, machine settings and any added corner protection. This creates a repeatable packaging standard for production staff.
